Safeguarding

How We Safeguard

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Teach in Time is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. We recognise that we have a duty of care to protect those who use our services from harm, abuse, and neglect. In order to do this, we have robust policies and procedures in place that are regularly reviewed.

Whilst we are not defined as a school, we have adopted the higher standard described in the Government’s approved code of practice “Keeping Children Safe in Education”.

This includes:

  • Maintaining a safe environment in which children can learn.

  • Practising safe recruitment of our tutors and staff.

  • Ensuring staff are aware and adhere to our safeguarding measures.

  • Maintain a system that effectively responds to any concerns raised.

In particular, we only employ experienced QTS teachers who have to provide a clear enhanced DBS with barred list check, every 3 years.
